DESCRIPTION:
Candy is a 5 year old Akita with black guard hair and a silverish undercoat. She has a white chest, the tip of her tail is white; she has white toes, with the right front paw having less white than the others. She has a dark circle on her tongue which can be seen when she yawns or when her mouth is opened. She is (was) wearing a black nylon collar with her rabies tags this number is 4XXXX1, her license, and a yellow tag containing her Home Again microchip number (#4XXXXXXXX9)

She belongs to Jason who is confined to a wheelchair; Candy has never left his side in five years. Jason says, "My name is Jason. I am a c-5/c-6 quadriplegic. I could not take my  wheelchair, yet alone my dog because the person who took me would not allow me to put my dog in his boat. Candy was left home inside but may have  gotten out. The house is on Columbia in New Orleans, Pontchartrain Park subdivision, 70126. Landmarks include Southern University at New  Orleans, Wesley Barrow baseball stadium, Pontchartrain Park, itself and  its golf course. The front of the house is on Columbia and Congress. The  back is on Congress and Hayne."

It is not known if Candy was rescued or not.
