Have you taken in a Hurricane Katrina or Rita pet? If so, please check the listings regularly at this site (www.lostkatrinapets.com) to see if you recognise your new friend here--a distraught owner may be desperately seeking their beloved family pet. Please note that not all rescues were owner relinquished, although the paperwork may have said they were.

• The Lost postings in the disaster section of Petfinder at http://disaster.petfinder.com/emergency/ have thousands of lost postings. Please *POST* your "found" hurricane rescue pet posting here too. It is important that you provide a photograph. If you don't have a digital camera, a picture can be taken with a film camera (even a cheap disposable type) and the hard copy photo scanned onto a CD at most places that do photo processing; Kinko's, Walgreens, etc.
