Snoop

SNOOP

DESCRIPTION:

"Rescued" from his yard on the 7000-block of Mercier St on or around December 5th, 2005

His elderly owners, Mr. and Mrs. L evacuated for Katrina and when they were able to return, they found their house mostly destroyed but their 13 year old dog still alive and waiting for them. Snoop's will to survive was amazing and is a testament to the love and devotion he has for these people who raised and cared for him for 13 years.

One day in early December, Mr. L was at his house, gutting and cleaning, and when he had to make a fast run to Home Depot he left Snoop in the yard. In the 20 minutes he was gone, someone "rescued" Snoop from his yard. A neighbor who was just leaving told Mr. L that "one of those trucks" picked up Snoop. We've since learned that it was a white van.

Mr. L is heartsick and Mrs. L suffered a stroke.

The attached photo is 2 years old and he was just cut down. Snoop is a Lab/Chow mix, his fur is black with red hues and somewhat long and curly. His ears are floppy and are reddish/brown. There is some white on his chin. His normal weight is around 75 lbs. He is very friendly and likes to drink ice water. One or two of his teeth are chipped. He may have been wearing a brown collar.
